This website has been made in honor of my father A.F. III Wehlburg, who researched the history of the Wehlburg family extensively. In 1956-1957 as "Die Wehlburg" was still in possession of the Wehlburg family, he visited the farm in Wehdel several times, and made a thorough study of many documents, which were kindly submitted to him by the owner of "Die Wehlburg", Herr Willy Wehlburg.
He then produced a magnificent handwritten book about the Wehlburg family with photographs and copies of documents. What makes the book so magnificent and unique however, are the drawings and the calligraphy. The calligraphy can easily be compared with the work of medieval monks.
This book is in my possession now, and as only a limited number of family members have the opportunity to see the book, I thought it would be a good idea to put some of the information on the web, especially for relatives that live outside the Netherlands. This can however in no way compete with my father's book, and every relative that visits Holland is hereby invited to have a look at this magnificent work.
